Spending time in Venice is always a special treat. By welcoming you in a house, we offer you an excellent alternative to the hotel room. Our solution is excellent not only because you’ll be able to take the city’s pulse from here better than from a hotel, but it will also allow you to cut costs. This 60 square metre apartment is located near the church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, and has an independent entrance. The apartment has been recently renovated, and is equipped with all the necessary amenities to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Accommodation is for 2+2 people, in a master bedroom and in a living room with a spacious sofa bed. An extra bed for a fifth guest is available on request. The bathroom with shower is attractively decorated. There is a brand-new and fully equipped kitchen and a small, typically Venetian inner courtyard. The apartment meets all the requirements for gracious modern living: a TV set and satellite dish, air conditioning, bedlinen, bath towels and other accessories. The apartment is cleaned before arrival of guests and after their departure. Pets are welcome. Smoking room. The Accademia, St. Mark’s Square, Santa Lucia Railway Station and Piazzale Roma are all within walking distance from your apartment. Nearby is Campo Santa Margherita, a favourite venue for Venetians who meet there in the evening in one of the many open air cafes and restaurants. You can catch the Line 1 vaporetto at San Toma just nearby.
Transportation
After landing at Venice’s Marco Polo Airport, board the shuttle bus which will drop you at Piazzale Roma. From there please contact the apartment staff or ask at the information desk how to get to San Polo 3080U, which is not far from IUAV University and from the Domus Civica. If you are flying into Venice on Ryanair from Treviso, use the same shuttle service, which will take you to Piazzale Roma. For those of you arriving by train at Venice’s Santa Lucia Railway Station: cross the Scalzi Bridge, turn right, go to the next crossing and turn left (on the corner is your landmark: St Simeon’s Church with its green dome), then go straight in the direction of the Domus Civica. From the Piazzale Roma car park: cross the big white bridge and proceed towards Papadopoli Gardens: here ask how to reach IUAV University and the Domus Civica.
