The Certosa Hotel location is unique only 15 minutes from Venice centre but far from the crowed calli. The Certosa Island enveloped in verdant vegetation and surrounded by the blue sea, a location whose majestic silence is interrupted only by the chirping of birds and the murmur of the sailboats docked in the small port. A place with an ancient, sacred and religious history where Certhusian friars once proclaimed the Faith and set an example for people. Later, the island became a military base and was surrounded by a protective wall. Today, Certosa Island brings the past into a present in which the entire environment evokes and symbolizes an orderly, contemporary life. Nothing has been lost. In order to reach Vento di Venezia Certosa Hotel follow these instruction:- from Venice Santa Lucia Railway station you get off the stairs and on your right you’ll get line 41 of public boats (vaporetto) to la Certosa island (the stop is on request. Last stop before Certosa island is Sant’Elena stop)- from Piazzale Roma (car terminal) get line 41 of public boats (vaporetto) to la Certosa island (the stop is on request. Last stop before Certosa island is Sant’Elena stop)- from Marco Polo airport get Alilaguna boat to Fondamenta Nuove stop in Venice and then get line 42 of public boats (vaporetto) to la Certosa island (the stop is on request. Last stop before Certosa island is Bacini stop)- from Treviso Airport get the bus ATVO to Piazzale Roma (car terminal) get line 41 of public boats (vaporetto) to la Certosa island (the stop is on request. Last stop before Certosa island is Sant’Elena stop)- NB. When you get on board please ask to get off at La Certosa (the stop is on request). The public boats line run from 6:00 am till 20:55 but after 20:00 the island is well connected to Venice by a free private boat service of the hotel for the whole night long. After 19:35, you have to reach Sant’Elena stop by vaporetto (line number 1 runs in night time to Sant’Elena) and call directly the shuttle service (mob. 0039 320 6583454) or call the hotel for the shuttle (tel. 0039 041 2778632) Please advise in case of late evening check-in to get all the assistance you may need for evening connections.
